1. Suspension and restart of the service associated with the replacement of the system B/C
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Due to replacement to the new system B/C, whole systems except for
login nodes of the current system B/D/E have been suspended.
The service is scheduled to restart at 10:00 a.m. on December 27 (Tue), 2016
and the new system A/B/C (Camphor2/Laurel2/Cinnamon2) and system E (Camellia)
will go into operation.

2. Operation Hours During Year-End and New Year Periods
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
During the upcoming Year-end and New Year periods, our operation hours are as follows:
○ Supercomputer Systems:
Services are available throughout the Year-end and New Year holidays.
○ The Large-Format Printer:
The rooms are closed at 5:00 p.m. on December 28, 2016 (Wed) and are opened at 9:00 a.m. on January 4, 2017 (Wed).
We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation in advance.
As for the inquiries during the period, we will correspond sequentially after January 4, 2017.

3. Call for Application of FY 2017 Service Course (1st Stage)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We call for application of the FY 2017 Service Course in the following schedule.
This call is between fiscal years and details of the usage fees and the application periods
are different from the usual.
Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.
We appreciate for your understandings and cooperation in advance.

Private Cluster Course, Organization Fixed Rate From January 13, 2017 (Fri) to February 17, 2017 (Fri) No later than 5:00 p.m.
Group Course, Personal Course From January 13, 2017 (Fri) to February 28, 2017 (Tue) No later than 5:00 p.m.
Large-Scale Job Course (From April to June) From January 13, 2017 (Fri) to February 28, 2017 (Tue) No later than 5:00 p.m.

4. Call for proposals of the Supercomputer Educational Use Project for FY 2017 (Reposting)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies (ACCMS) calls for proposals of
the Supercomputer Educational Use Project for classes requiring the use of supercomputer systems
at graduate school, university, or technical college which are conducted by
instructors of university, junior college or technical college.
We are calling for the application of the Supercomputer Educational Use Project in FY 2017
in the following schedule.
〇Application period: From November 15 (Tue) to December 22 (Thu), 2016 No later than 12:00

The Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures
is made up of eight centers equipped with supercomputers.
These centers are the Information Initiative Center of Hokkaido University,
the Cyberscience Center of Tohoku University, the Information Technology Center of the University of Tokyo,
the Global Scientific Information and Computing Center of the Tokyo Institute of Technology,
the Information Technology Center of Nagoya University, the Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies of Kyoto University,
the Cybermedia Center of Osaka University, and the Research Institute for Information Technology of Kyushu University.
This is a network-type joint usage and collaborative research center,
and its core institution is the Information Technology Center of the University of Tokyo.
From FY 2013, the JHPCN centers, as part of the High Performance Computer Infrastructure (HPCI),
are responsible for the operation of those joint research resources named HPCI-JHPCN system.
Please note the following points.
・HPCI-JHPCN system is used on the project using supercomputer
・Usage fee for the facilities shall not be charged in the basic use of HPCI-JHPCN system.
・Project application guideline as well as webpage for the project application differs by whether or not using HPCI-JHPCN system.
