1. Suspension of the service associated with the system replacement
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The current supercomputer system will end the service on Mon. August 15, 2016 at 17:00
and be replaced to a new system.
The new system is scheduled to start from Mon. October 3, 2016.
End of the current service: Mon. August 15, 2016 at 17:00
Start of the new service: Mon. October 3, 2016
○Data migration
The saved data (HOME, LARGE) will be migrated to the next system automatically.
However, please download the files by August 15, 2016 if you need to refer the files
since you will not be able to access the system during the suspension period.
○Backup settings of LARGE disk space
The function of changing the backup settings of LARGE disk space has stopped
from July 1 due to the system replacement.
You cannot use "group backup" command for the setting changes.
If you need to change it please contact us by Email.

2. Call for Application of FY2016 Service Course for the new system
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We call for applications of the FY2016 Service Course for the new supercomputer system in the following schedule.
Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources that you request depending on the situation
since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.
We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation.
○Courses to be opened/Application Period
‐Private Cluster Course, Organization Fixed Rate
From Wed. July 20, 2016 to Fri. August 19, 2016 at 17:00
‐Personal Course, Group Course and Large-Scale Job Course (November, February and March)
From Wed. July 20, 2016 to Fri. August 26, 2016 at 17:00
※Large-Scale Job Course is suspended during the peak season from mid-November to mid-February.
○Services to be Effective：Mon. October 3, 2016 (TBD)

The usage fees and the conditions of each service course will be revised in accordance with the system replacement.

3. Call for Collaborative Research Project for Young /Women scientists for FY 2016 (Additional Offer)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)
additionally calls for Collaborative Research Project for young researchers (including students, regardless of sex)
under the age of 40 as of April 1, 2016 and women researchers (regardless of ages).
Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee"
and about twenty proposals are selected.
ACCMS bears all or the partial amount of the system usage fees of the selected proposals.

4. Call for Collaborative Research Project for Enhancing Performance of Programming for FY 2016 (2nd Period)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS) calls for proposals
of the Collaborative Research Project for Enhancing Performance of Programming for FY 2016.
This project is designed for users of the Group Course or Private Cluster Course
(including under application), as well as the Personal Course users
who are going to switch to the Group Course at the additional calls of this project.
Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee"
of ACCMS. The programs adopted by the committee are carried out to enhance the program performance
in collaboration with ACCMS. ACCMS bears the cost of the program development.

5. Call for Collaborative Research Project for Large-Scale Computation for FY 2016 (2nd Period)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS) calls for proposals
of the Collaborative Research Project on large-scale computing programs for research groups
that uses the supercomputer system through personal course, group course or
private cluster course (including under application) in FY 2016.
Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee" of ACCMS.
As for the adopted proposals, ACCMS bears the usage fee of the large-scale job course within a certain amount.

9. Changing the payment item of the service course (usage fee)（Reposting）
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We accept changes of the payment item of the usage fees for personal course, group course, private cluster course
and large-scale job course in the following manner.
If you wish to change the payment item, please finish the procedures within a period.
○Deadline for changing: Wed. September 14 at 17:00

10. Billing of the usage fee for FY 2016 October（Reposting）
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Billing of the usage fee for FY 2016 is scheduled in October, January and March.
The billing of October will be charged in the following manner.
1) Deadline for changing the payment item and the billing month is Wed. September 14, 2016 at 17:00.
and the contract after the date will be charged in January.
2) If you cannot pay by the due date because of the procedures of your contract,
please contact to the Research Information Section beforehand so that we can bill in January.
As for the "Uneihi koufukin" (運営費交付金) of Kyoto University, the bill will be determined on September 14
although the budget is expected to be transferred later.
Please note that you cannot change the payment item after the bill is determined.
In case that you need to change the billing month for any reason, please contact us via e-mail.
