1.    The start of the new supercomputer system

New supercomputer system is scheduled to start the service as follows.

 

Start of the new service : Mon. October 3, 2016 at 9:00

 

The user manual is in progress.

You can refer how to use the new supercomputer system

2.    Suspension of the supercomputer serviceReposting

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Due to a scheduled power outage, our services will be suspended as below.

Maintenance is also scheduled after the power outage.

 

Date and time: 6:30 on Mon. October 10 - 9:30 on Wed. October 12

Services to be suspended: System A, B, C, D, E, ENVI/IDL licensing, HPCI account services,

Large-Format Printer, and User Portal

 

Supercomputer service is not available for the above period.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance.

 

If the maintenance is not scheduled, the services will resume earlier than the above.

4.    Call for proposals of research project using HPCI computing resources for FY 2017

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS) is participating in the HPCI

which is intended to provide a framework and structure so that users of high performance computing (HPC)

who tend to be isolated locally can efficiently utilize the nation-wide high performance computing resources.

 

Guideline of call for proposals of research project using HPCI computing resources for FY 2017 is as follows.

Please apply within a period if you wish.

 

Start of call: Wed. September 7, 2016

Start of the application submission: Thu. October 6, 2016

Deadline of the application submission: Mon. November 7, 2016 at 17:00(JST)

Deadline of mailing of the printed application forms: Must arrive no later than Mon. November 21, 2016

Announcement of awarding results: The beginning of February 2017

Start of the project use: April 1, 2017
