1.    Additional call for application of FY 2017 service course (start on December)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

We additionally call for the application of the FY2017 Service Course starting from December 2017 in the following schedule.

Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources that you request depending on the situation since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.

We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation.

 

Courses:

         -Group course (Type A1, A2, A3, E1, E2, E3)

         -Personal course (Type A, E)

         -Large-scale job course (Type A, E: from February to March)

    Application period: From Wed. November 1 to Mon. November 20 at 5:00 p.m.

    Estimated starting date of the service: Fri. December 1, 2017

2.    Deadline for billing of usage fee of January

Billing of the usage fee of January is determined as of Wed. Dec 13 at 5:00 p.m. and will be processed.

Please note that the application after the due date will be charged in March.

 

In addition, changing the payment item also should be done by the due date.

5.    Call for proposals of research project using HPCI computing resources for FY 2018Reposting

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS) is participating in the HPCI which is intended to provide a framework and structure so that users of high performance computing (HPC) who tend to be isolated locally can efficiently utilize the nation-wide high performance computing resources.

 

Guideline of call for proposals of research project using HPCI computing resources for FY 2018 is as follows.

Please apply within a period if you wish.

 

Start of call                           Tue. September 5, 2017

Start of the application submission     Thu. October 5, 2017

Deadline of the application submission  Tue. November 7, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. (JST)

6.    Special SeminarACCMS seminar Mathematical Biology Without Equations: Uncovering Invisible Causal Networks

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies (ACCMS) holds a seminar once in a month.

We are inviting active researchers from a variety of areas, and ask them to give talks about their research activity or issues in performing research, hoping to provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion among participants.

On an ACCMS seminar at November 9, 2017, we invite Prof. George Sugihara at UC San Diego. We hope to have a lot of participants.
