1. Operation Hours During Year-End and New Year Periods

During the upcoming Year-end and New Year periods, our operation hours are as follows:
○ Supercomputer Systems:
Services are available throughout the Year-end and New Year holidays.
○ The Large-Format Printer:
The room is closed at 5:00 p.m. on Thu. December 28, 2017 and is opened at 9:00 a.m. on Thu. January 4, 2018.
We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation in advance.
As for the inquiries during the period, we will correspond sequentially after January 4, 2018.

2. Call for Application of FY 2018 Service Course (1st Stage)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We call for application of the FY 2018 Service Course in the following schedule.
This call is between fiscal years and details of the usage fees and the application periods are different from the usual.
Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.
We appreciate for your understandings and cooperation in advance.
〇Courses to be opened ・Application Period
Private Cluster Course, Organization Fixed Rate : From Mon. January 29, 2018 to Fri. February 16, 2018 No later than 5:00 p.m.
Group Course, Personal Course : From Mon. January 29, 2018 to Wed. February 28, 2018 No later than 5:00 p.m.
Large-Scale Job Course (From April to June) : From Mon. January 29, 2018 to Wed. February 28, 2018 No later than 5:00 p.m.

The Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures (JHPCN) calls for joint research projects for fiscal year 2018. JHPCN is a "Network-Type" Joint Usage/Research Center, certified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and comprises eight super-computer equipped centers affiliated with Hokkaido University, Tohoku University, The University of Tokyo, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Nagoya University, Kyoto University, Osaka University and Kyushu University,
among which Information Technology Center at the University of Tokyo is functioning as the core institution of JHPCN.
Each JHPCN member institution will provide its research resources for joint research projects.

4. ACCMS seminar “Speech Learning–Human Process Machine Process”
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies (ACCMS) holds a seminar once in a month. We inviting active researchers from a variety of areas, and ask them to give talks about their research activity or issues in performing research, hoping to provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion among participants.
On an ACCMS seminar at January 18th, we invite Assoc. Prof. Kaori SUGIURA at Ritsumeikan University and Asst. Prof. Toru NAKASHIKA at University of Electro-Communications. We hope to have a lot of participants.
