1. Service suspension for the maintenance at the end of the fiscal year (Reposting)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The supercomputer service in the FY2016 will be terminated as below
for the maintenance work to switch to the new fiscal year.
System A/B/C will be terminated at 9:00 a.m. on Mon. March 27, 2017
and System E will be terminated at 9:00 a.m. on Thu. March 30, 2017.
The supercomputer service in the FY2017 will start at 9:00 a.m. on Wed. April 5, 2017.
Please note that we will cancel the remaining jobs of the supercomputer
at the time of the service termination.
〇Date and Time: From 9:00 a.m. Mon. March 27, 2017 to 9:00 a.m. Wed. April 5, 2017
〇Services to be Suspended: System A, B, and C, and ENVI/IDL License Service
〇Date and Time: From 9:00 a.m. Thu. March 30, 2017 to 9:00 a.m. Wed. April 5, 2017
〇Services to be Suspended: System E, HPCI Account Service, Large-Format Printer
and User Portal

2. File assets of non-continuation users
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We will delete files of non-continuation users of FY2017 from June 2017.
Please migrate and backup necessary file assets by the end of May.
File assets to be deleted or organized are as follows.
○Home Directory of non-continuation user
○Large-volume disk space which non-continuation group of FY2017 possess
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
3. Call for Application of FY2017 Service Course (2nd Stage)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We are calling for the application of service course for FY 2017 in the following schedule.
Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources that you request
depending on the situation since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.
We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation.
○Application Period ：From Fri. April 7, 2017 to Thu. April 27, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
○Courses：Group course，Personal course，Large-scale job course (from July to September)

4. Call for Collaborative Research Project for Young /Women scientists for FY 2017
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS) calls for proposals
of the Collaborative Research Project for scientists listed below as part of
"The Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures (JHPCN)” activities.
○Young researchers under the age of 40 as of April 1, 2017 (including students)
○Women researchers (regardless of ages)
Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee" of ACCMS
and a committee of JHPCN, and about twenty proposals are adopted.
ACCMS bears entire or part of the usage fee of the adopted proposals.
Awarded researchers are required to submit a research report by the end of the fiscal year,
to acknowledge their use of this system when publishing the achievements in papers,
and to contribute an article on their research results to our Center News (Inter-University Services Bulletin).
In addition, we require their cooperation for JHPCN activities such as a presentation at the JHPCN symposium.

5. Call for Collaborative Research Project for Large-Scale Computation for FY 2017 (2nd Period)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS) calls for proposals
of the Collaborative Research Project on large-scale computing programs for research groups
that uses the supercomputer system through personal course, group course or private cluster course (including under application) in FY 2017.
Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee" of ACCMS.
As for the adopted proposals, ACCMS bears the usage fee of the large-scale job course within a certain amount.
○Application period：From Mon. April 3, 2017 to Fri. April 21, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

of the Collaborative Research Project for Enhancing Performance of Programming
for research groups that uses the supercomputer system
through group course or private cluster course (including under application) in FY 2017.
Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee" of ACCMS.
The programs adopted by the committee are carried out to enhance the program performance
in collaboration with ACCMS.
ACCMS bears the cost of the program development.

9. Request for submitting user reports of supercomputer systems（Reposting）

In the research results obtained with the use of the large scale computer systems,
papers (including abstracts) which were presented during this fiscal year
are required to be reported by one of the following methods.
Please report the unpublished ones as soon as they are published.
