1. Additional call for application of FY 2018 service course (start on October)

We are additionally calling for the application of FY 2018 service course
starting from October 2018 in the following schedule.
Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources that you request
depending on the situation since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.
We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation.
〇Courses:
- Group course (Type A1, A2, A3)
- Personal course (Type A)
- Large-scale job course (From October to December)
〇Application period:From Sat. September 1 to Thu. September 20 at 5:00 p.m.
〇Estimated starting date of the service:Mon. October 1, 2018

3. Bill of the usage fee to be issued in FY 2018 October(Reposting)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
A bill of the usage fee of FY 2018 is scheduled to be issued in October, January and March.
The bill to be issued in October is determined in the following schedule.
Please complete the necessary procedure within the due date
if you need to change the payment item and the billing month.
○Deadline for the changes:Wed. September 12, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.
・Contracts after the due date will be billed in January.
・Please note that you cannot change the payment item after the bill is determined.
○How to change the payment item:
You can change the payment item by User Portal or Service Course Application Form.

4. Call for Collaborative Research Project for Large-Scale Computation for FY 2018 (3rd Period)(Reposting)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)
calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project
on large-scale computing programs for research groups
that uses the supercomputer system through group course or private cluster course
(including under application) in FY 2018.
Submitted proposals are reviewed by
"Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee" of ACCMS.
As for the adopted proposals, ACCMS bears the usage fee of the large-scale job course
within a certain amount.

5. Application Guideline of Collaborative Research Project for Young・Women Scientists for FY 2018 (Additional Offer)(Reposting)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)
additionally calls for Collaborative Research Project for young researchers
(including students, regardless of sex) under the age of 40 as of April 1, 2018
and women researchers (regardless of ages).
Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative
Research Planning Committee" of the ACCMS and superior proposals are selected.
ACCMS bears all or the partial amount of the system usage fees of the selected proposals.

6. 【Special ACCMS Seminar】"Current status and issues of the next-generation digital learning environment based on open standards"

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies (ACCMS) holds a seminar
once in a month.
We are inviting active researchers from a variety of areas,
and ask them to give talks about their research activity or issues in performing research,
hoping to provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion among participants.
On an ACCMS seminar at August 28, we invite Dr. Colin Smythe, Chief Architect of
IMS Global Learning Consortium.
We hope to have a lot of participants.

7. ACCMS seminar "Visualize the value of university: University identity and design of website"

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies (ACCMS) holds a seminar
once in a month.
We are inviting active researchers from a variety of areas,
and ask them to give talks about their research activity or issues in performing research,
hoping to provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion among participants.
We hold the ACCMS seminar on September 6 in a mini symposium style, with co-hosted
Kyoto University Web Strategy Office.
We invite three experts on university website and visual design to give talks and
also have a panel discussion.
We hope to have a lot of participants.
