1.     Additional call for application of FY 2019 service course (start from December)

We are additionally calling for the application of FY 2019 service course

starting from December 2019 in the following schedule.

Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources that you request

depending on the situation since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.

We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation.

5.     Call for proposals of research project using HPCI computing resources in FY 2020Reposting

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ACCMS is participating in the HPCI, which is intended to provide a framework

and structure so that users of high performance computing (HPC)

who tend to be isolated locally can efficiently utilize the nation-wide

high performance computing resources.

 

Guideline of call for proposals of research project using HPCI computing resources

in FY 2020 is as follows. Please apply within a period if you wish.

 

Start of the call                       Thu. August 22, 2019

Start of the application submission     Thu. September 19, 2019

Deadline of the application submission  Mon. October 21, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. (JST)

Deadline of mailing of the printed application formsMust arrive no later than Tue. November 5, 2019

8.     ACCMS Seminar "Trend of Open Science and Research Data Management in Japan"

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ACCMS holds a seminar once in a month.

We are inviting active researchers from variety of areas,

and ask them to give talks about their research activity or issues in performing research,

hoping to provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion among participants.

 

At an ACCMS seminar on November 19,2019, two talks will be given addressed

on the trend of open science and research data management in Japan

by Prof. Eiri Ono and Prof. Takaaki Aoki, both who are engaged

at Institute for Information Management and Communications (IIMC), as well as ACCMS.

This seminar is collocated as a series of the HeKKSaGOn German-Japanese University

Network data science webinar.

The lecture will be in English.

 

We hope to have a lot of participants.

External participants are also welcome.

At ACCMS Seminar on December 17, 2019, we invite Lecturer Shizuka Shirai

(Cybermedia Center of Osaka University),

Prof. Akihiro Yamamoto (Graduate School of Informatics of Kyoto University)

and Prof. Hajime Kita (Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences of Kyoto University)

as topic providers and discuss information education

at a large university taking practices at both universities as examples.

 

We hope to have a lot of participants.

External participants are also welcome.
