Due to scheduled maintenance, our supercomputer services will be suspended as below.

 

Date and time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Thu. December 5

Services to be suspended: Login node of System A, B, and C,

             ENVI/IDL licensing, HPCI account services, and User Portal

2.    Deadline for billing of usage fee of JanuaryReposting

Billing of the usage fee of January is determined as of Wed. Dec 11 at 5:00 p.m.

and will be processed.

Please note that the application after the due date will be charged in March.

Please apply for the change of the payment item by the deadline.

3.    The result of the Satisfaction Survey (2019 Autumn)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

With respect to the use of supercomputers, we have carried out

a satisfaction survey (2019 Autumn) for the period from October 1, 2019 to

October 31, 2019 and received 79 answers.

Based on the survey results, we will strive to improve our service quality.

depending on the situation since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.

5.    Call for proposals of the Supercomputer Educational Use Project for FY 2020

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies (ACCMS) calls for proposals of

the Supercomputer Educational Use Project for classes requiring the use of

supercomputer systems at graduate school, university, or technical college

which are conducted by instructors of university, junior college or technical college.

 

We are calling for the application of the Supercomputer Educational Use Project

in FY 2020 in the following schedule.

 

Application Deadline: No later than 12:00 on Thursday, December 19, 2019

6.    Call for collaborate research project for FY 2020 Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures (JHPCN)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information

Infrastructures (JHPCN) calls for joint research projects for fiscal year 2020.

JHPCN is a "Network-Type" Joint Usage/Research Center, certified by

the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology,

and comprises eight super-computer equipped centers

affiliated with Hokkaido University, Tohoku University, The University of Tokyo,

Tokyo Institute of Technology, Nagoya University, Kyoto University, Osaka University

and Kyushu University, among which Information Technology Center at

the University of Tokyo is functioning as the core institution of JHPCN.

Each JHPCN member institution will provide its research resources

for joint research projects.

ACCMS holds a seminar once in a month.

We are inviting active researchers from variety of areas,

and ask them to give talks about their research activity or issues in performing research,

hoping to provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion among participants.

 

At ACCMS Seminar on December 17, 2019, we invite Lecturer Shizuka Shirai

(Cybermedia Center of Osaka University),

Prof. Akihiro Yamamoto (Graduate School of Informatics of Kyoto University)

and Prof. Hajime Kita (Institute for Liberal Arts and Sciences of Kyoto University)

as topic providers and discuss information education

at a large university taking practices at both universities as examples.

 

We hope to have a lot of participants.

External participants are also welcome.

This seminar will be held jointly with the Institute of Economic Research of Kyoto University.

 

We hope to have a lot of participants.
