1. Service suspension for the maintenance at the end of the fiscal year（Reposting）
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The supercomputer service of FY2018 will be terminated as below.
After the completion of the maintenance work to switch to the new fiscal year,
services of FY 2019 will start from 9:00 a.m. on Thu. April 4, 2019.
Please note that we will cancel the remaining jobs of the supercomputer
at the time of the service termination.
We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation in advance.
〇Date and Time：From 9:00 a.m. Wed. March 27, 2019 to 9:00 a.m. Thu. April 4, 2019
〇Services to be Suspended：System A,B and C, ENVI/IDL License Service,
HPCI Account Service, User Portal, and Large-Format Printer

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Users who end the use of our supercomputer service at the end of FY2018
are required to back up their files themselves.
They cannot login to the system after the service termination,
however, file migration (scp, sftp) will be available until the end of May.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
3. Call for Application of FY 2019 Service Course (2nd Stage)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
We are calling for the application of the service course for FY 2019 in the following schedule.
Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources that you request
depending on the situation since each course has its limitation
in available computing resources.
We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation.
○Application Period：From Mon. April 8, 2019 to Tue. April 23, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
○Courses：Group course，Personal course，Large-scale job course (from July to September)

4. Call for Collaborative Research Project for Young /Women scientists for FY 2019
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
ACCMS calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project for scientists listed below
as part of “The Joint Usage/Research Center for Interdisciplinary Large-scale
Information Infrastructures (JHPCN)” activities.
○Young researchers under the age of 40 as of April 1, 2019 (including students)
○Women researchers (regardless of ages)
Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative Research
Planning Committee" of ACCMS and a committee of JHPCN,
then superior proposals are adopted.
ACCMS bears entire or part of the usage fees of the adopted proposals.
Awarded researchers are required to submit research reports by the end of the fiscal year,
acknowledge their use of this system when publishing the achievements in papers,
and contribute an article on their research results to our Center News
(Inter-University Services Bulletin).
In addition, we require their active cooperation for JHPCN activities
such as a presentation at the JHPCN symposium.

5. Call for Collaborative Research Project for Large-Scale Computation for FY 2019 (2nd Period)
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
ACCMS calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project
for large-scale computing programs for research groups
that uses supercomputer systems through personal course, group course
or private cluster course (including under application) in FY 2019.
Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative Research
Planning Committee” of ACCMS.
As for the adopted proposals, ACCMS bears the usage fee
of the large-scale job course within a certain amount.

for Enhancing Performance of Programming for research groups that uses
supercomputer systems through group course or private cluster course
(including under application) in FY 2019.
Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative Research
Planning Committee" of ACCMS.
The programs adopted by the committee are carried out to enhance
the program performance in collaboration with ACCMS.
ACCMS bears the cost of the program development.

8. Request for a satisfaction survey

We are carrying out a satisfaction survey of our supercomputer service
to meet users’ needs more.
It will be used to improve our service quality, so please give us your cooperation.

9. Request for submitting user reports of the supercomputer systems（Reposting）

In the research results obtained with the use of the large scale computer systems,
papers (including abstracts of papers) which were presented during this fiscal year
are required to be reported by one of the following methods.
Please report the unpublished ones as soon as they are published.

10. 【Special ACCMS seminar】"The Value of Open Source Software in Education-The Case in the United States and France"
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
ACCMS holds a seminar once in a month.
We are inviting active researchers from variety of areas,
and ask them to give talks about their research activity or issues in performing research,
hoping to provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion among participants.
At ACCMS Seminar on March 27, 2019, we invite Patrick Miller, Xiaojing Duan
(University of Notre Dame, USA), Dr. Janice A. Smith (Steering Committee Lead for Karuta Project,
Apereo Foundation) as an application example of open source software developed by Apereo Foundation.
We hope to have a lot of participants.
External participants are also welcome.
