1.     Scheduled Maintenance

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Due to scheduled maintenance, we will suspend the supercomputer services

of some systems on the next schedule.

In this maintenance, the login node and the WEB server are targeted

and the job execution of the computing node will be continued as it is.

 

Date and time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Tue. August 6

Services to be suspended: Login node of System A, B, and C,

             ENVI/IDL licensing, HPCI account services, and User Portal

2.     Additional call for application of FY 2019 service course (start on September)

We are additionally calling for the application of FY 2019 service course

starting from September 2019 in the following schedule.

Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources that you request

depending on the situation since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.

4.     Bill of the usage fee to be issued in October FY 2019

Bills of the usage fees of FY 2019 are scheduled to be issued in October, January and March.

The bill to be issued in October is determined in the following schedule.

Please complete the necessary procedure within the due date

if you need to change the payment item and the billing month.

 

Deadline for the changesWed. September 11, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.

  ・Contracts after the due date will be billed in January.

  ・Please note that you cannot change the payment item after the bill is determined.

You can change the payment item by User Portal or Service Course Application Form.

5.     Call for Collaborative Research Project for Enhancing Performance of Programming in FY 2019 (3rd Period)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)

calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project

for Enhancing Performance of Programming in FY 2019.

This project is designed for users of the Group Course or Private Cluster Course

(including under application), as well as the Personal Course users

who are going to switch to the Group Course at the additional calls of this project.

 

Submitted proposals are reviewed by

 "Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee" of ACCMS.

The programs adopted by the committee are carried out to enhance the program performance

in collaboration with ACCMS.

ACCMS bears the cost of the program development.

6.     Call for Collaborative Research Project for Large-Scale Computation in FY 2019 (3rd Period)

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)

calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project

for large-scale computation for research groups that uses the supercomputer system

through group course or private cluster course

(including under application) in FY 2019.

 

Submitted proposals are reviewed by

"Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee" of ACCMS.

As for the adopted proposals, ACCMS bears the usage fee of the large-scale job course

within a certain amount.

7.     Call for Collaborative Research Project for YoungWomen Scientists in FY 2019 (Additional Offer)

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)

additionally calls for Collaborative Research Project for young researchers

(including students, regardless of sex) under the age of 40 as of April 1, 2019

 and women researchers (regardless of ages).

 

Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative

Research Planning Committee" of the ACCMS and superior proposals are selected.

ACCMS bears all or the partial amount of the system usage fees of the selected proposals.

our supercomputer services (large-format printer) will be suspended as below.

Please note that although users can use the supercomputer for this period,

responses to inquiries might be delay.

and ask them to give talks about their research activity or issues in performing research,

hoping to provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion among participants.

 

At ACCMS Seminar on August 2, 2019, we invite Project Prof. Akihiro Sato

(Graduate School of nanobioscience, Yokohama City University) and

Assistant Prof. Hisatoshi Ai (Center for Spatial Information Science, the University of Tokyo).
