1.     Additional call for application of FY 2019 service course (start from November)

We are additionally calling for the application of FY 2019 service course

starting from November 2019 in the following schedule.

Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources that you request

depending on the situation since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.

We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation.

2.     Suspension of the supercomputer service

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Due to a scheduled power outage and maintenance, our services will be suspended as below.

 

Date and time6:00 a.m. on Mon. October 14 - 3:00 p.m. on Thu. October 17

Services to be suspendedSystem A, B and C, ENVI/IDL licensing, HPCI account services,

                            Large-Format Printer, and User Portal

 

Supercomputer service is not available for the above period.

3.     Call for proposals of research project using HPCI computing resources in FY 2020

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ACCMS is participating in the HPCI, which is intended to provide a framework

and structure so that users of high performance computing (HPC)

who tend to be isolated locally can efficiently utilize the nation-wide

high performance computing resources.

 

Guideline of call for proposals of research project using HPCI computing resources

in FY 2020 is as follows. Please apply within a period if you wish.

 

Start of the call                       Thu. August 22, 2019

Start of the application submission     Thu. September 19, 2019

Deadline of the application submission  Mon. October 21, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. (JST)

Deadline of mailing of the printed application formsMust arrive no later than Tue. November 5, 2019

Announcement of awarding results        The beginning of February 2020

Project period                          From April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021(For one year)

4.     ACCMS seminar "Informatics supporting the city"Reposting

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

ACCMS holds a seminar once in a month.

We are inviting active researchers from variety of areas,

and ask them to give talks about their research activity or issues in performing research,

hoping to provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion among participants.

 

At ACCMS Seminar on September 27, 2019, we invite Assistant Prof. Yuya Sasaki

(Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Osaka University) and

Assoc. Prof. Munenari Inoguchi (Faculty of Sustainable Design, University of Toyama).

 

We hope to have a lot of participants.

External participants are also welcome.
