1.     Supercomputer Continuation Application to the following FY2020Reposting

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

We will send "Supercomputer User List" listed users name of this fiscal year

to the payment managers in late January.

 

It is possible to make a continuation application easily by checking

"continuation" or "discontinuation" in the "Supercomputer User List" and returning it to us

by the deadline if there is no change in the application contents.

If there is a change in the application contents, please note that

an " Application Form for Large Scale Computer Systems" (計算機利用申請書) must be submitted.

 

The deadline for the continuation application shall be at 5:00 p.m. on Fri. February 21, 2020.

*** Notes ***

○ Although the procedure is possible even if you miss the deadline,

it may not be in time for the start of the service in April.

Please keep the deadline.

 

○ By making the continuation application, we continue registration of

the user number (login ID) as an entry course.

If you use group course or personal course, it is necessary to submit

a "Service Course Application Form" (サービス申請書).

Please make sure to apply.

 

○Previously, we had mailed the notice for the continuation application to users as well,

however, the mailing notice to users has been abolished since last year.

Please share the notice and information directed to the payment managers with related users.

2.     Call for Application of FY 2020 Service Course (1st Stage)Reposting

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

We call for application of the FY2020 Service Course starting from April 2020

in the following schedule.

This call is between fiscal years and details of the usage fees

and the application periods are different from the usual.

Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources

since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.

We appreciate for your understandings and cooperation in advance.

In the research results obtained with the use of the large scale computer systems,

papers (including abstracts of papers) which were presented during this fiscal year

are required to be reported by one of the following methods.

 

Please report the unpublished ones as soon as they are published.

4.     Application Guideline of Collaborative Research Project for Enhancing Performance of Programming in FY 2020 (1st Period)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)

calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project for Enhancing Performance of Programming in FY2020.

This project is for users of the Group Course or Private Cluster Course

(including those who are in application process), as well as the Private Course users

who wish to switch to the Group Course at the additional calls of this project.

 

Submitted proposals are reviewed by Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee.

The programs adopted by the Committee are carried out to enhance the program performance

in collaboration with ACCMS.

ACCMS bears the cost of program development.

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)

calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project for Large-Scale Computation in FY2020.

This project is for users of the Group Course or Private Cluster Course

(including those who are in application process).

Submitted proposals are reviewed by Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee.

As for the adopted projects, the ACCMS bears the usage fee of the large-scale job course within a certain amount.

 

The usage period of this call is from April 2020 to June 2020.

As the title,“Expectations for“Fugaku”from the results of supercomputer“K”",

it will be a place where you can experience the possibilities and expectations for

“Fugaku”which will produce world-leading results in the future with the results of “K".

8.     ACCMS Seminar "Graph algorithm"

ACCMS holds a seminar once in a month.

We are inviting active researchers from variety of areas,

and ask them to give talks about their research activity or issues in performing research,

hoping to provide an opportunity for fruitful discussion among participants.

 

At ACCMS Seminar on March 10, 2020, we invite Prof. Hirotaka Ono

(School of Informatics, Graduate School of Informatics, Nagoya University)

and Prof. Eiji Miyano (School of Computer Science and Systems Engineering

of Kyushu Institute of Technology).

 

We hope to have a lot of participants.

External participants are also welcome.
