Papers (including abstracts of papers) published during the current fiscal year

which research results were obtained using our large scale computer systems

should be reported in one of the following ways.

 

Please report the unpublished ones as soon as they are published.

2.     Application Guideline of Collaborative Research Project for Enhancing Performance of Programming in FY 2021 (1st Period)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)

calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project

for Enhancing Performance of Programming in FY2021.

This call is for users of the Group Course or Private Cluster Course

(including those who are in application process),

as well as the Personal Course users who are planning to switch to the Group Course

at the next additional call for the application of the Service Course.

 

Submitted proposals are reviewed by Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee.

The proposal adopted by the Committee are carried out to enhance the program performance

in collaboration with ACCMS.

ACCMS bears the cost of program development.

3.     Application Guideline of Collaborative Research Project for Large-Scale Computation in FY2021 (1st Period)

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)

calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project for Large-Scale Computation in FY2021.

This project is for users of the Personal Course, Group Course or Private Cluster Course

(including those who are in application process).

Submitted proposals are reviewed by Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee.

As for the adopted proposal, the ACCMS bears the usage fee of the large-scale job course within a certain amount.

 

The usage period of this call is from April to June in 2021.

calls for proposals of the Advanced Large-scale Computing System Service in FY2021.

This project is for private organizations and aimed at promoting strategic

and efficient research development by researchers of industry, government

and academia utilizing supercomputer.

5.     Acceptance of Online Applications for the Supercomputer Systems

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

We are pleased to announce that we have started accepting online applications

for the supercomputer systems, instead of the paper applications

which had been submitted by mail.

 

To submit your application online,

please scan and convert the completed and stamped application form into a PDF file,

and submit it from the form at the following URL.

There is no need to submit the original documents by mail.

Please note that some of the fields for stamps on the application form

have been omitted to correspond with the start of the online submission,

so please obtain the latest application form to submit online.

6.     ImportantNotification of the change in the method of sending Approval Notice and Registration Confirmation Notice (Reposting)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

In response to the recent difficulties in receiving mails due to increased opportunities

to work from home, we abolish the mailing of the Approval Notice (for users)

and Registration Confirmation Notice (for payment managers)

and change the method to download it yourself for applications after December 1, 2020.

 

Specifically, when you use the service for the first time,

please follow the procedure below.

 

When you use the service for the first time (for users):

1) Receive the Registration Completion Notice by email and confirm the user number.

2) Request for the procedure to start the service from the user portal

3) Open the one-time URL which is sent to your registered email address

   and download the Approval Notice and set the password.

4) After that, you can log in to the user portal by the password authentication.

(Continuously, please set the public key authentication, etc.)

 

If you are already using our service, you can continue to use it without affected by the change,

but we will not mail the Approval Notice when you apply for the additional applications

for this fiscal year or continuation applications for the next fiscal year.

 

You can download the latest Approval Notice after addition/change

from the confirmation page of the registration information in the user portal.

 

We apologize for any inconvenience, and appreciate for your understanding and cooperation.

7.     Supercomputer Continuation Application to the following FY2021 (Reposting)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

We will send "Supercomputer User List" listed users name of this fiscal year

to the payment managers in late January.

 

If there are no changes in your application,

you can easily apply for continuing the service by checking

"continuation" in the "Supercomputer User List" and returning it to us.

If there are any changes in the application, please note that

an " Application Form for Large Scale Computer Systems" (計算機利用申請書) must be submitted.

 

The deadline for returning the continuation application form is

at 5:00 p.m. on Fri. February 19, 2021.

*** Notes ***

 

You may not be able to start the service in April if you cannot submit

the continuation application form in time. Please apply before the deadline.

 

By making the continuation application, the user number (login ID) will be

continuously registered as an entry course.

If you wish to use group course or personal course, you need to submit

a "Service Course Application Form" (サービス申請書).

Please make sure to apply.

 

Previously, we had mailed the notice for the continuation application to users as well,

however, we had abolished the notice by mail to users since last year.

Please share the notice and information directed to the payment managers with related users.

8.     Call for Application for FY 2021 Service Course (1st Stage) (Reposting)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

We call for application for FY 2021 Service Course starting from April 2021

in the following schedule.

This call for applications will be handled differently in terms of usage fees,

payment items and periods etc., because it is between fiscal years.

Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources

since each course has its limitation in available computing resources.

We appreciate for your understandings and cooperation in advance.

 

Courses to be opened Application Period

Private Cluster Course, Organization Fixed RateFrom Tue. January 12, 2021 to Fri. February 12, 2021 No later than 5:00 p.m.

Group Course, Personal Course                From Tue. January 12, 2021 to Wed. February 24, 2021 No later than 5:00 p.m.

9.     Request for satisfaction survey (Reposting)

We are conducting an annual satisfaction survey of our Supercomputer Systems

to further improve our service quality.

 

The online survey site will remain open until March 29 2021,

so if you are willing to give us your feedback,

please fill out the form once until the deadline.
