We have been trying to move up the schedule to start the operation of the new supercomputer system,
however, it has become difficult to start the operation in mid-December.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
We are currently preparing for the cloud system and the new system B according to the following schedule
to provide the service to the users who used the system from April to July without additional application and usage fees.
ZAdvance Provision of Cloud System
We are working hard to provide the service in late-November, however the detail date is still unsettled.
We will inform you as soon as it is ready.
ZOperation Start of the New System B
Since it is difficult to provide the system in advance in December,
we will revise the schedule to start the trial operation in January.
We will operate the system with priority placed on the stable operation
during the trial operation period from January to March, 2023.
Details on how to use the system will be announced as soon as they are ready.

2. Resumption of Access to Data Stored in Supercomputer
ͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺ
We have successfully completed the data migration to the new storage
and are ready to provide a file server for data access.
We will resume storage access on the following date and time.
Please use it to retrieve the necessary files.
Since it is still a temporary environment, file access is limited to read-only
and the connection method is limited to SFTP/RSYNC.
Interactive operation via SSH is not available.
Please note that the maintenance may be performed
without prior notice due to the construction of the entire system.
Period: Tue. November 8, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. -
Eligible Users: Users who have a valid supercomputer user number
Host name: hpcfs.kudpc.kyoto-u.ac.jp
Connection method: SFTP, RSYNC
Except for the change of the host name, access is available
by using existing login ID and SSH public key authentication.

3. Call for proposals for research projects using the HPCI System in Period-A of FY2023iRepostingj
ͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺ
ACCMS is participating in the HPCI which is intended to provide a framework
and structure so that users of high-performance computing (HPC) who tend to
be isolated locally can efficiently utilize the nation-wide high performance
computing resources.
Schedule of the call for proposals for the research projects using the HPCI system
including Fugaku in Period-A of FY2023 is as follows.

apply for the call within a period if you wish.

- Online submission opens: Wed. October 5, 2022
- Online submission closes: Wed. November 2, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. (JST),
- Announcement of the awards: Middle of February 2023

4. Call for Collaborative Research Project for FX700 "Trial Use" and "Small Node Use" for FY2022iRepostingj
ͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺ
ACCMS calls for proposals of the collaborative research project
for the gTrial Use" and the "Small Node Use" of the Fujitsu FX700
which is equipped with the same ARM processor as the supercomputer Fugaku
for research groups using our supercomputer with the Group Course in the fiscal year 2022.
The "Trial Use" of FX700 is intended to be widely tried by the users of our supercomputer
by making the application form simple.
The research report is also simplified and only operation report and performance report
of the executed application are required.
The collaborative research project for the "Small Node Use" will be adopted
from users who have already finished the operation confirmation of the application
on the "FX700 Trial Use". Submitted proposals are reviewed
by Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee.
If your proposal is adopted, you will be required to submit a research report.
There is no cost burden for using this project.
Deadline for application submission: 5:00 p.m. on the 15th of each month

5. yACCMS Seminarz"Direction of Agricultural DX Development"
ͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺͺ
ACCMS holds monthly seminars inviting researchers who are active in variety of fields
to give talks about their research activity or current issues
and provide an opportunity to discuss them with participants.
At ACCMS Seminar on November 15, 2022, we will invite Mr. Tazo, Seiji of
Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and Mr. Tsuru, Kaoru of
National Agriculture and Food Research Organization.
We welcome participants from both inside and outside of the university.
We are looking forward to your participation.
