JHPCN consists of eight university centers which operate supercomputers

will hold "The 14th JHPCN symposium" as follows.

JHPCN has launched two new calls for proposals this fiscal year:

"Large-Scale Computational Science" and "Data Utilization and Data Science",

and is promoting many interdisciplinary research projects across the fields of

computational science, computer science, and data science.

The JHPCN Symposium this year will partially revive the on-site symposium,

aiming at exchanges among researchers and the development of interdisciplinary research.

As in the previous year, we will also have invited lectures by prominent researchers

at the forefront of the field.

Participation is free of charge.

We welcome researchers, students, and related professionals regardless of

universities, research institutes or private institutes.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the symposium.

The current system will end the service on July 28, 2022, and you will not be able to

access the supercomputer storage until the next system goes into operation.

Please transfer any data that you may need during the transition period to your own environment.

The network storage service that started in May will continue to be available

during the service suspension period of the supercomputer.

We hope you will take advantage of it.

The files of the current system will be migrated to the new system.

However, the number of files in the current system is very large

and the migration process is expected to require a lot of time.

To shorten the service suspension period, please help us to organize unnecessary files.

It would be helpful if you could reduce the number of files by combining multiple files

into a tar format.

System configuration and the installation schedule for the new supercomputer system

are posted in the following website.

Please refer to the following URL for details.

3.     Call for Collaborative Research Project for FX700 "Trial Use" and "Small Node Use" for FY2022iRepostingj

ACCMS calls for proposals of the collaborative research project

for the gTrial Use" and the "Small Node Use" of the Fujitsu FX700

which is equipped with the same ARM processor as the supercomputer Fugaku

for research groups using our supercomputer with the Group Course in the fiscal year 2022.

The "Trial Use" of FX700 is intended to be widely tried by the users of our supercomputer

by making the application form simple.

The research report is also simplified and only operation report and performance report

of the executed application are required.

The collaborative research project for the "Small Node Use" will be adopted

from users who have already finished the operation confirmation of the application

on the "FX700 Trial Use". Submitted proposals are reviewed

by Supercomputer System Collaborative Research Planning Committee.

If your proposal is adopted, you will be required to submit a research report.

There is no cost burden for using this project.

Deadline for application submission: 5:00 p.m. on the 15th of each month

ACCMS holds monthly seminars inviting researchers who are active in variety of fields

to give talks about their research activity or current issues

and provide an opportunity to discuss them with participants.

At ACCMS Seminar on July 27, 2022, we will invite Prof. Noriko Arai of

National Institute of Informatics and Prof. Aoki, Takaaki of Nagoya University.

We welcome participants from both inside and outside of the university.

We are looking forward to your participation.
