1.     Call for Application of FY2024 Service Course (2nd Stage)

We are calling for the application of the service course for FY2024 in the following schedule.

Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources that you request

depending on the situation since each course has its limitation

in available computing resources.

We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation.

2.     Call for Collaborative Research Project for Large-Scale Computation for FY2024 (2nd Period)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)

calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project for

Large-Scale Computation for the fiscal year 2024.

This call is designed for the Personal Course users or the research groups

who use our supercomputer system through the Group Course in FY 2024

(including those who are in application process).

 

Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative

Research Planning Committee" of the ACCMS.

As for the adopted proposals, the adopted users and the faculty members of

the ACCMS will conduct the joint research and the ACCMS bears the usage fee

of the large-scale job course within a certain amount.

 

This project period is from July 2024 to September 2024.

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)

calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project for Enhancing

Performance of Programming for the fiscal year 2024.

This call is designed for the research groups who use our supercomputer

system through the Group Course in FY 2024 (including those who are in

application process) or the Personal Course users who are planning to

switch to the Group Course at the next additional call for the application

of the Service Course.

Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative

Research Planning Committee" of the ACCMS.

As for the adopted proposals, the adopted users and the faculty members

of the ACCMS will conduct the joint research for enhancing performance

of programming and the ACCMS will bears the costs for program development, etc.

4.     Call for Collaborative Research Project for Young /Women scientists for FY2024

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Academic Center for Computing and Media Studies, Kyoto University (ACCMS)

calls for proposals of the Collaborative Research Project for scientists

listed below as part of "The Joint Usage/Research Center for

Interdisciplinary Large-scale Information Infrastructures (JHPCN)" activities.

 

Young researchers under the age of 40 (including students, regardless of gender)

Women researchers (regardless of ages)

 

Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative

Research Planning Committee" of ACCMS and a committee of JHPCN,

and some superior proposals are adopted.

As for the adopted proposals, the adopted users and the faculty members

of the ACCMS will conduct the joint research and the ACCMS bears entire

or part of the usage fee of the adopted proposals.

The adopted users are required to submit a research report,

acknowledge their use of this project when publishing the research results

in papers, and contribute an article on their research results

to the Inter-University Services Bulletin.

In addition, we require their cooperation for JHPCN activities

such as a presentation at the JHPCN symposium.

5.     Service suspension for the maintenance at the end of the fiscal yearReposting

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The supercomputer service of FY2023 will be terminated as below.

After the completion of the maintenance work to switch to the new fiscal year,

services of FY2024 will start from 10:00 a.m. on Thu. April 4, 2024.

Please note that we will cancel the remaining jobs of the supercomputer

at the time of the service termination.

We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation in advance.

6.     Request for file backups for users who end the use of the supercomputer service at the end of FY2023Reposting

Supercomputer users who end the use of the supercomputer service at the end of FY2023

are required to back up their files themselves.

They will not be able to login to the system after the service termination,

however, file migration (scp, sftp) will be available until the end of May.

7.     Request for satisfaction surveyReposting

to respond to the needs of the supercomputer users more.
