1.     Service Start of FY 2023 and the maintenance at the end of the fiscal year

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Our supercomputer service in FY 2022 will be terminated

at 9:00 a.m. on Tue. March 28, 2023, for the maintenance work

at the end of the fiscal year.

Please note that all uncompleted batch jobs at the time of

the service termination will be deleted.

We will start the service of FY 2023 from Mon. May 1, 2023

due to the construction work of the cooling system.

Please note that the service course for System G, cloud system and storage access

will be available from at 10:00 a.m. on Tue. April 4, 2023.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

2.     Change of the device for the cloud system

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The number of computing nodes currently provided as a cloud system has been used up

and enough nodes cannot be secured.

For this reason, we will change the device (instances on the cloud)

to be used from April 2023 as follows.

  Processor: Intel Xeon Gold 6154 3.0GHz 18 cores x 2

 Computing performance: 3.45TFlops/node

 Memory capacity: 384 GByte

 Network: 25Gbps Ethernet

Number of nodes: changed depending on the usage, but around 30 nodes will be secured.

The cloud system is available to anyone who has a user ID

of the Large-Scale Computer Systems.

Cloud system and system A/B/C are highly compatible regarding processors and software.

We hope you will make use of the cloud system as a complement during the period

that the system B/C is suspended in April or

until system A starts operation.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

3.     Call for Application of FY2023 Service Course (2nd Stage)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

We are calling for the application of the service course for FY2023 in the following schedule.

Please note that we may ask you to adjust the amount of resources that you request

depending on the situation since each course has its limitation

in available computing resources.

We appreciate for your understanding and cooperation.

Submitted proposals are reviewed by "Supercomputer System Collaborative

Research Planning Committee" of ACCMS and a committee of JHPCN,

and some superior proposals are adopted.

ACCMS bears entire or part of the usage fee of the adopted proposals.

Awarded researchers are required to submit a research report

by the end of the fiscal year, to acknowledge their use of this system
